READING GUIDE
Read the presence before deciding on an explanation
Some ghost stories begin with a figure; others begin with footsteps, a familiar voice or the sense that an empty room is occupied. What matters to the account is the sequence: what the narrator noticed first, what changed, and which details another person could observe. In fiction, those same details allow an author to make a presence felt before revealing it.
This collection includes stories organized around ghosts and hauntings. The content label distinguishes invented events from personal testimony or researched material; the subject alone does not establish whether a story is true. Use Haunted Places if the history and setting are your main interest. Supernatural Encounters offers a wider range of unexplained presences. Psychological Horror is another reading path when you want the uncertainty to remain close to a character’s perception. The cards include reading times so you can find a record for tonight.
