READING GUIDE
Online horror that follows the narrator offline
A screen creates distance until a message contains something it should not know. These stories use that small breach of privacy as a starting point: a recording that feels too familiar, an anonymous user who remembers a private detail, or a hidden page whose consequences reach beyond the browser. The frightening part is the narrator losing control of where the encounter ends.
The collection is written as horror fiction, including its first-person narrators. A believable voice does not make a portal, livestream or crime in a story a verified event. The records are meant to be read, rather than used as directions to locate real services. For another kind of pressure, continue to Psychological Horror. If you want fiction organized around a final reveal, try Twist Ending Horror. The story label and reading time help you choose before you open a record.
